How to make a boot-able USB device to install Windows XP.

When i first tried to make a boot able usb device to install windows because i was having problems with my dvd rom device, it was very difficult to find a good way. So I am putting this very easy way to do this.

Requirements:
  1. Backup of Windows XP DVD or CD-Rom.
  2. A USB device of minimum 2gb space.
  3. WinToFlash.
  4. And something called a brain.
If you have the above mentioned requisites, you can easily make a boot able usb drive and install windows.
 First Step:
Get a backup of Windows xp. You can download that from internet, I could have posted a link here from torrent but its illegal.  I recommend you buy windows or download it if you are a university student and your university is giving software for free.

Second Step:

Download WinToFlash Software. You can easily download that from here. Click Here to download WinToFlash. It will download a 25mb compresses file. Decompress that file into your hard drive. Now Run WinToFlash.exe file. Now do the following.

You will get a window like this. Just click the button to which arrow is pointing.  Don't need to go into some advance options.

 Now just click Next button.

Here you must select the Windows Backup path and your usb drive. Remember that this wizard do not accept .iso files. So, when you download Windows XP iso file, using some Image burners like Alcohol, extract the .iso file into your hard disk and then select that path.

After clicking next, accept the agreement and it will ask you to erase all the files on the usb so if you have some important files on usb, take a backup. Now after allowing the setup to erase the files, it will start copying files into usb and will make it a boot able usb device.

Third Step:

After Making a bootable usb device, Restart your pc and boot it with usb device. A list will appear, select step 1.Now just follow the steps in the usual windows setup. After that follow the list according to the numbers.

But it will be good having one more blog of this type. I will be posting tips and articles regarding your PCs Troubleshooting and management from now on. Stay with me and you will get many good things from here. :)
